Join us in welcoming ShoeGuru’s, located at 14961 (B) Buchanan Trail East, Blue Ridge Summit. Christy Hawkins and her business partner Damanda Forrest have been sneaker fanatics for as long as they both can remember.
In March of 2021 Hawkins retired from her position with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and decided to take on a business venture with Forrest. It was an easy decision on the type of business since they both have a passion for shoes, especially sneakers. ShoeGuru’s will offer a variety of styles of shoes for men, women, and children, including a line of work boots. They specialize in sneakers and hope to bring in new releases of specialty sneakers when they drop in the market. If you have lightly worn shoes you would like to donate back to the community they have a shoe drop box set up at the their store.
Forrest said although they are in their infancy stage they have plans to develop an online store of merchandise so clientele can have the convenience of ordering online and have it shipped to their home or the store.
Their hours of operation are Tuesdays through Thursdays 9 am to 5 pm and Friday and Saturday 9 am to 7 pm. The Chamber will host a ribbon cutting for ShoeGurus on Thursday, May 13th at 4 pm.
