Gallery 50 hosts opening reception for new exhibit on June 11
Strap on your ruby red slippers and come browse Gallery 50’s new art show, “Photos and Paintings and Prints—Oh My!” The playful title encompasses the range of artwork that will be on display from 14 area artists.
The public is invited to an opening reception on Friday, June 11 from 5:30–8 p.m. at 50 West Main Street in downtown Waynesboro. The reception will showcase the new artwork and includes free refreshments in addition to live music from Dino Delray in the adjacent Music Makers space.
Gallery 50 curator, Marti Yeager said, “We’re excited to have a wide array of new art for guests to enjoy along the imaginary ‘yellow brick road’ of Gallery 50.”
The exhibit spotlights fine art photography, oil and acrylic paintings, and hand-pulled prints. Subjects range from wildlife and portraits to still life and landscapes.
Featured artists include photographers Richard Amt, Denny Bingaman, Rodney Clark, Audrey Rouzer, and Andy Smetzer; painters Leslie McEntire and Emily Sloviko; and members of the Penn’s Woods Printmakers: Lynda Beckwith, Dawn Burgoon, Anne Finucane, Dee Henry, Brandii Kligge, and Garnet and Marti Yeager.
In accordance with CDC and PA Department of Health guidelines, those who are fully vaccinated may forego wearing a mask in Gallery 50 and Music Makers. (If not fully vaccinated, please wear a mask.)
Following the reception, the exhibit will be on display through mid-October. Gallery 50 is open on Fridays from 5–8 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m.

Gallery 50 is owned and operated by the Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro and spotlights fine art and high-quality crafts from local artists and artisans.
